Baby Girl Ivie

Evan truly brings SO much joy into our home. His incredible grin, imaginative mind, and energetic personality complete our little family. I truly feel SO blessed to be taught by his sweet spirit. Although I know that Heavenly Father hand-picked him to help teach me many valuable life-lessons, the journey of getting him here was dang hard. After 9 LONG months of intense morning sickness (Hyperemesis Gravidarum), kidney problems, an extremely painful delivery, months of colic, and sleepless nights (he didn't sleep through the night until 14 months), let's just say that I was content to wait quite a while before trying for another.

Don't get me wrong, I thank Heavenly Father every single day for the opportunity I have to be a mother, especially knowing so many who struggle with pregnancy. Evan is a gift and a HUGE blessing in my life; I would do everything all over just to have him in my family. However, like I mentioned above, so many fears flooded my mind every time I contemplated expanding our family; How was I supposed to take care of a busy toddler if I couldn't even take care of myself?

Earlier this year, a little miracle took place - I got pregnant! My fears and doubts soon turned to excitement to start a new journey. However, this pregnancy ended in a heartbreaking miscarriage and I was again left feeling fearful of becoming pregnant again. In the months that followed, I learned that Heavenly Father had a different plan for me when I really felt strongly that it was time to bring another baby into this world. Putting my insecurities aside, I decided to trust in my Heavenly Father - after all, he ALWAYS knows what's best for me.

It's when I decided to trust in my Heavenly Father that everything fell into place. In June, Dayne and I were blessed to find out that we would have the opportunity to be parents again! Such an exciting and blessed time in our lives. This is how we decided to tell our family:

Many have asked how this pregnancy has compared with Evan's. Well, to be completely honest, it's been another tough pregnancy. Once again, I have Hyperemsis Gravidarum - which means (even at 23 weeks) many days of puking 10-15 times. I can also pretty much guarantee getting a migraine every day. However, every so often I will have a "good day" where I'm able to function pretty normally. Despite sickness, Heavenly Father has blessed me with strength and endurance. I've also been blessed to have Dayne at home. Because Dayne's job doesn't start until mid-November, he's been able to stay home and take care of me. He's taken on many "motherly" responsibilities - grocery shopping, cleaning, watching Evan, etc. It truly has been such a tender mercy! Although it hasn't been easy, once again, Heavenly Father has provided a way.

We are BEYOND thrilled to welcome a little GIRL into our home March 1, 2015. What a blessing and a miracle that the baby is healthy, growing properly, and that Dayne and I have the opportunity to be parents again. I seriously can't wait for this little girl to get here; not to mention, Evan is going to be such a cute big brother!

Wait, WHAT? I'm getting a little SISTER?
This picture documents a few things - 1. The first time I got ready ALL week 2. The start of a bump - 23 weeks 3. First preggo pic!

2,400 Miles

We LOVE spending time with family! Living so far away from home, we cherish every second we get to spend with our loved ones. This past month, we were beyond thrilled that we were able to make it to Dayne's family reunion - boy did we have a great time! The family rented an INCREDIBLE house by Bear Lake complete with an indoor basketball court, playground, movie theater, and slides to all of the different floors. Our weekend was full of many laughs, fun water games, fun dances, delicious eats, and great chats. I sure married into a great family!

What's better than mud and water?

I'm SO bummed that I didn't take more pictures while at the reunion! Luckily, Dayne's mom compiled this fun lip-sync of family events - it's a must watch!

Although it was great spending time together as a family, we also enjoyed being able to visit with Dayne's siblings one-on-one throughout the next week - what great memories!

Late night Creamies with cousins!
Evan with his cousin Todd - or as Evan calls him "Pot"

These boys are going to be SUCH great friends! Evan still talks about "Browy (Brody) and Hake (Hank)" every.single.day! At least three times a day Evan will ask, "Where's Bowy? And Hake?" He also requests we bless them in every single prayer; safe to say he loves his cousins!
Evan fell in LOVE with Ryan and Heather's kitties! I've never seen him so smitten!
Can't believe Dayne wouldn't let us bring these kitties home :)
Dayne's second cousin, Kimber. Cutest baby ever! Evan LOVED her!
SO grateful Evan was able to spend some time with his Great Grandpa Ivie!
What a great man.
Playing with the same toys that Dayne played with as a kid!
SO happy we got to spend some time with one of my best friends, Monica! We sure miss that family!

Some other highlights of our trip included spending time with Dayne's parents (Evan LOVED "papa's house"), visiting Grandpa Williams, Grandma Benson, Sarah & Mike, and my family. 2,400 miles later, it feels good to be home, but we sure miss our family!

Glorious Graduation

We did it! We made it through grad school! Now that Dayne is graduated and board certified, I can officially say that I'm married to a PA! I'm so proud of Dayne and all of his hard work - most importantly because through all of PA school, he always put his family first. He always made it a priority to spend time with our family when he was home; this meant he pulled MANY all-nighters to get all of his studying in. I'm so blessed to be married to such an incredible and selfless guy - not to mention, he's going to make one cute PA!

The perfect ceremony - short, sweet, to the point, and bagpipe music!
So proud of his daddy.

Disneyland or Bust!

We just returned from the trip of our lives! For Emily's graduation, she chose to go to Disneyland with the Family. Seeing Disneyland through Evan's eyes was truly magical! We had so much fun spending time with the family, going to Disneyland for 3 days, and relaxing at the beach!

Loved spending time with Papa. Evan was extremely interested in how all of the rides worked haha
He was so excited that he was tall enough to ride all of the rides in Car's Land! And he rode every single ride he could; loved every second of every ride.

First ride, he loved it!

A pretty cute sight!

While in Disneyland, Evan fell in love with all things Mickey "dickey"

Love this family of mine!
